Steve Jobs In Exile

After devouring almost every book on Apple, I had thought that Jobs's years between leaving and coming back were not documented. My prayers were answered with this insightful and entertaining book on a period of Jobs's life when he was truly by himself and finding his own path. It's hard to understand now, but at the time, when Jobs had left Apple and was in his "wilderness years", the return to Apple obviously didn't exist yet. People really did see him as a genius who had maybe had his time. What he was doing was not seen as important as what he had done at Apple. It takes great confidence and courage to stay on your path when nothing around you looks like progress. Equal parts inspiring and fascinating.
